There were BIPOC models (thank god!!!!!!!) and I felt so safe to be myself here. The set up was stunning, there was SO much to shoot, and she even included education as well. the groups were small and consistently rotating so I never felt like I had to fight for a shot. I can't say enough good things. Renee really really knows how to put on a styled shoot.

I think that Renee really pours her heart and soul into her styled shoots and it shows! I am honestly impressed with how many details her styled shoots have for the price of the tickets. I also feel like the group sizes were perfect and the rotations worked well. The addition of education before the styled shoot was great, giving us time to learn something new and set up our gear etc! The vendors were all super friendly and great to work with. I also appreciated the diversity of the models instead of a runway model skinny type white couple that you always see on Pinterest haha. I would come back to another hosted by her!

Advice for the host

I would love a flatlay mat or even just a neutral linen for details! I feel like it really elevates those photos and is more in line with flatlay mood board pics. Not a deal breaker in the slightest just a suggestion!

It was honestly one of the most chill styled shoots I’ve attended. Everyone was laid back, respectful, and worked well together, which made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. There was plenty of room for creativity without feeling rushed or crowded, and the overall atmosphere was so positive. It was a beautiful session, and you could tell how much thought and care went into every detail.

Advice for the host

I absolutely love Renee and her styled shoots. One thing I really appreciate is that she pays all of her vendors to be there, it isn’t a trade for photos. She genuinely supports the businesses she works with, which is awesome. Knowing that part of the ticket cost goes directly toward supporting those vendors makes the experience even more meaningful.

The cake was absolutely stunning, the event space was beautiful, the drinks were delicious, and the model group was incredibly professional. The florals were breathtaking and tied everything together perfectly. Honestly, the entire event was beautiful.

If I had one suggestion, it would be to maybe have a second pair of models or an additional model setup. It would have been nice to have a little more variety to photograph throughout the day. Other than that, I truly loved everything about it and had such a great time.

I love renee's styled shoots. you can tell she puts her whole heart into it. it was organized perfectly, and was not stressful at all. we all had ample time to shoot, the decor was beautiful, and gave us room to create + get experimental. groups were not too big. and SHE PAYS ALL OF HER VENDORS!!!! I love knowing my money is going to the vendors.
and I loved how there was a mix of levels of photographers there, some experienced, some newbies, and we all just got on well.

Advice for the host

I would loveee to see queer models in the mix + more diverse models. In addition during intros it would be cool to share pronouns.

Nope! She's great.

What happened

Renee is a fabulous host!! She seems to source really good vendors for her shoots. She's also used BIPOC models in the past (though not at the shoot I just attended). Everyone who attended or was hosting was super kind and worked well together.

Advice for the host

Would love to see some queer couples!!

Renee is so kind spirited and lets all of her attendees have creative freedom. She supported all of us and helped us all make new connections and friendships. Something I’ll never take for granted.

What happened

I had the most amazing time at this retreat. The host, Renee, poured her heart into making sure every detail was perfect. She was truly such a gem and I can’t wait to attend a retreat with her again in 2027.

Advice for the host

Nothing. Truly the best.
