What happened
It was my first experience with a styled shoot. They had 3 couples (1 engagement, 2 elopement) and 2 solo female models for bridal. 1 LGBTQ couple. We split into small groups and moved around with the couples. They also had a horse with western gear. Wardrobe, florals and a small tablescape with cake which unfortunately was complicated by intense wind to no fault of their own. It was chaotic and not super structured, but everyone thrived in those short 3 hours with the freedom to pose and jump in. Maybe my favorite styled shoot (I’ve done more since) because nobody had to fight to do what they wanted, we just jumped around the models, collaborated with the photographers, full creative freedom for everyone. It was super fun and I got a significant amount of content in a short time. Great vendors, great models.
Advice for the host
Nothing. Photographers thrive in a fast-paced environment (or they should) and it was amazing to have so much to photograph in such a short timeframe without a rigid structure. I wish more were like that.
