What happened
Canceled within the allotted time of contract. Back and forth for weeks. Excuses why she couldn’t refund. Finally disputed with bank, she denied the claim. Still trying to get my allowed refund. Would never recommend

Given this was Haili's first retreat hosted I think it went well. There was a model cancelation, which she covered, and a location change due to flooding but nothing she didn't handle. We still had all four sessions and I got what I wanted out of the experience.
Advice for the host
Communication leading up to the actual retreat could be stronger/more present. Have backup models/locations already in place just in case.

Three models ended up cancelling for two separate shoots. A random couple was found with very little effort put into matching the aesthetic that was advertised and promised. A partial refund was denied even though three models no longer had to be paid so those funds were then just pocketed by the host. Felt like these circumstances were very unfair and the shoot was definitely not worth my time and energy. I will never be booking a styled shoot from this host again.
Advice for the host
Carry through with the expectations set. If things fall through be willing to help make things right for the attendees who invested their time and energy into attending.
