Revel & Grace
Anonymous | Paid Attendee | paid $3,000
I have received multiple inquiries in California after attending this retreat, which is exactly what I had hoped to happen! It was definitely well worth the investment and I would attend another Revel and Grace retreat. The only thing I would caution is that this retreat was only heterosexual females, so someone of a different gender identity or sexuality may not feel as comfortable.
What happened
I felt very safe and comfortable throughout the entire retreat. Many of the girls knew each other through prior retreats or being from the same area, but I did not notice any form of discrimination or intentional exclusion toward the girls who had not attended in the past. Like with any large group, small groups naturally form and not every member of the retreat was included in every spontaneous dinner or outting. I don't believe that any exclusion was necessarily intentional, however the retreat leaders could have done a better job of preventing this by organizing more group activities and reservations.
Advice for the host
Hosts could do a better job of arranging for group reservations and outtings to ensure that each attendee is included, or at least given the chance to be included.
